Saskatchewan Solutions is a series of live virtual sessions featuring initiatives, tools and resources that focus on building healthy relationships and strong safe communities through violence prevention.
Join STOPS to Violence on Thursday, April 24th, 2025 from 9:30 am – 11:00 am for our Saskatchewan Solutions session featuring the Community Role of Mental Health.
Merle Massie, Executive Director of The Do More Agriculture Foundation, a national charitable foundation championing mental health across Canadian agriculture will speak to Do More Agriculture Foundation's mission to cultivate a culture of mental well-being within Canadian farming communities. Their work addresses head-on community-level stigma against mental illness, which sadly still permeates communities. People may fear that they might be shunned, isolated, or treated differently by their community if it became known that they have a mental illness. Do More supports communities to create spaces for community-level conversations about mental health, injury and illness, to shine a light on community-level stigma and find paths forward for communities to open space for inclusion, belonging, and hope.
